Sharan Sliding Door Problems

The cable to the sliding door on my sharan 7n from 2014 has jumped off the little tap and it cannot be put back on.

Remove the speaker if you havnt already done so and then pull and push the wiring loom where it exits into the rubber. Most sliding doors have a mechanism called an adjusting screw located at the bottom of the door ends. Whilst doing that get someone to press the unlock button and see if you can t get it to unlock.

In these cases the problem is usually that the rollers at the bottom of the door have started to rub against the track. If the problem is not corrected the door and frame may be damaged.

We live on a killer of a hill and the manual doors would take your arm off. All of these items can become damaged through lots of use. If the cable is not greased often and the wheel lowered they end up seizing. Next take a dry stiff scrub brush and work through corner to corner.

The cable has been pulled almost all the way in and the door locks so it cannot go to where the cable can reach. Among the common functional or sliding door problems are the damage to the materials rotten wood and deformation of the metal. The rollers at the top can also wear down lowering the bottom of the door so that it rubs on the track. It is difficult to open and close a door if the hinges are damaged or improperly installed.

I queried when buying the car whether they would cope on a steep hill but was told there would be no problem. The first time it wouldn t open or close and they claimed they reset the onboard computer. Other items required for car doors may be the check strap or the inner panel or trim. It occurs if the spare wheel mechanism is not serviced regularly.

The tracks are notoriously difficult to clean so you ll have to pull out all the stops. This problem is common on the sharan. First vacuum loose debris so you can see what you re working with.
