Sienna Sliding Door Stuck

We have an 05 sienna and like everyone every winter the side sliding doors freeze.

At first the door won t work properly. This happens when the power sliding door isn t able to latch on properly due to something blocking it. The electric motor s circuit will become overloaded and this will trip the fuse and prevent the door from being closed entirely. Last night i sprayed everything with silicone spray with no luck.

Most common problem is the motor of the latch fails. When your sienna side door won t close one possibility is a circuit overload. If you pull the handle on the inside or outside it doesn t open the door it behaves just like it is locked. If you push the open button inside the car or on the fob you can hear the motor try to open but the door doesn t budge and the motor stops after a second.
